Sophos juga meminta maaf kepada para fans yang terpaksa harus terkena bocoran God of War Ragnarok sementara di sisi lain Santa Monica Studio ingin membuatnya terlihat fresh.

Beberapa fans lantas menanyakan apakah bocoran tersebut datang dari para reviewer yang kemudian ia tepis karena para reviewer mematuhi aturan mereka untuk tidak membocorkan sama sekali.

Sophos mengaku bahwa bocoran ini datang dari retailer yang melanggar aturan mereka untuk menjual game-nya lebih dulu.

God of War Ragnarok rencananya akan dirilis tanggal 9 November 2022 nanti di PS4 dan PS5. Belum jelas kapan ia akan rilis PC, namun dengan rencana Sony untuk beri jeda satu tahun, maka 9 November 2023 jadi tanggal aman untuk versi PC-nya.
